Repairs

Before completing the form below, please read through the following.

Tenants Repair Responsibilities

You must take care of your home, inside and out and repair any damage caused by you, your family, visitors or pets.

You must get written permission from us before you carry out any improvements or alterations at the property. Any fittings or alterations that you make without getting our agreement will be your responsibility.

If you do not do a repair that is your responsibility, we may carry out the work and charge you for the cost.

You are responsible for the following.

  • Cleaning away mould caused by condensation
  • Repairing minor cracks in plaster
  • Internal decoration (if stated)
  • TV aerials
  • Loose screws/hinges on cupboards, windows, doors and gates
  • Installing Gas or electric Cooker
  • Curtain Rails
  • Installing Washing machine / dryer
  • Extra keys to your home
  • External Locks -any locks changed we must be provided with a key.
  • Re Glazing any windows
  • Laminate flooring (maintain)
  • Loose floor coverings and carpets
  • Bolts and locks to outhouses or garden gates
  • Coat rails or hooks
  • Light bulbs/ starters
  • Batteries for smoke detector
  • Door Bells/ alarms
  • Unblocking drains, Sinks, baths or toilets
  • Replacing Toilet seats. Sink and bath plugs.

Property Cleaning

If you leave the property, garden or garage in a state of disrepair or leave behind any belongings or rubbish, we will rectify this situation and charge you for this even after your tenancy is ended.

We advise that you take out insurance against loss or damage to the goods inside your home.

HAS YOUR BOILER GONE OFF?

  • Have you got gas and electric on ( check supply)
  • Is your boiler switched on at the wall
  • Have you tried restarting your boiler
  • Is the water pressure between 1-3

If you have checked everything on this list and the boiler is still not working please note down any error codes when you report this.
